Q. How long does it take to have Iron Fencing Installed? A. Usually 2-4 weeks from agreement date (Order Early!)
Q. What colors with coating or paint choice do I have? A. We prime or paint black only. Powder-coated colors are extra.
Q. How do we get the right Iron Fence? A. Our representative will guide you through layout, styles, and pricing on the spot.
Q. What is our pool code requirement for iron around our swimming pool? A. Towns vary. Most are 5' high, 2" off the ground with secure-fit closing gates.
Q. What is the difference between redwood posts and pressure treated posts? A. Redwood matches the fencing, while pressure treated lasts longer.
Q. Which makes a better fence - redwood or cedar? A. Both have similar qualities. Redwood looks red for a year and then turns dark. Cedar appears whiter and after one year turns gray.
Q. Are the styles I see in your brochure the only styles you have? A. No. We can customize, match or design your fence.
Q. Can I split the bill with my neighbor? A. We have a policy leaving the customer with the estimate responsible for the fence work.
Q. Do I need to stain my fence and if so, when? A. Aesthetics or preference only - wait approximately one month for some of the moisture to dry up. Mill direct lumber will always have moisture in it.
Q. Do the different styles, board on board, louvered, dog-earred cost the same? A. We provide several styles including these at the same price.
Q. What is a "good neighbor" fence? A. Both sides look the same or alternate fence evenly to look the same.
Q. Staples versus nails. Which is better? A. We use both. Nails for frame and staples for board to prevent splitting.
Q. How long is my estimate good? A. 90 days with a small grace period.
